MADISON (WKOW) — Stepping onto new ground. A group of Dominicans are here in Madison, for the first time, due to the generosity of Wisconsinites. High Point Church has been sponsoring a community in the D. R. for several years, and now the people they’ve sponsored are here.
After 11 years several people from the D. R. are stopping here in Madison to share their story, including Pastor Miguel and his wife Josie, Marties Olivero and his wife Christy, and Kelvin De Jesus. March is a missions month at HPC, so these individuals play a special role for the church and the community during their visit. Aside from meeting the people who’ve sponsored their journey and their community, the Dominicans will attend a banquet in their honor, where you can help donate to their cause and community. Their D. R. community, while vastly improved is still in need of technology items and a stove for their technical college.
