VIDEO: How to cut diarrhea-related deaths in half (hint: it’s something you do every day)

If you care about clean water and are concerned for the 1.1 billion people right now who don’t have it, you probably also know that every day, about 6,000 people (mostly children under 5) die from diarrhea-related diseases (source).

The World Health Organization says half of those lives could be saved just by handwashing.

In Mozambique and around the world, FH staff teach proper sanitation and hygiene, like handwashing with soap.

Similar to those electronic toothbrushes that play 2-minute songs to help your kids know how long to brush, this song created by women in Mozambique helps people know how long to scrub their hands.
water water
water is medicine
water is medicine
water is medicine, water
